Revisiting the cold world we live in, start from the beginning
It’s hard to be uplifting when you see these haunting visions
Put yourself in their position, so much destruction
That’s the definition of a first world problem
Cities so alive shut down in an instant
Flashing before your eyes is your life caught in glimpses
Praying it’ll stop, your faith is literally shaken
Testing your patience, filled with frustration
A nation calls upon its people to awaken
Rise up in the midst of this abomination
Raise awareness and contribute donations
But even then the people are breaking
Down, like the buildings around them
Surrounded by debris, trapped underneath the ground and
Though it will take time to rebuild
You are not alone, we will not rest until

All the missing survivors are found (until)
Your families are safe and sound (until)
All of the damage is clear
And you will have nothing to fear (until)
The sun rises in the east once more (until)
We can say that “Your country is restored”
But until that day comes, we must do our part
We’re all in this together, and now is the time to start

Though Japan is in our hearts for the time being
That doesn’t mean that we should neglect the unseen
While the media broadcasts the current
The Haitians and Chileans still dealing with the deterrent
Known as the massive earthquakes that shattered their foundation
On the road to resurrection, in need of salvation
Time’s wasting when you turn a blind eye
Ask God, “How could you let these civilians die?”
In Egypt, they protested for peace and got shot
Bullets raining overhead in the name of Mubarak
Thought our wars were over when we pulled out of Iraq
This time it is Libya, when will the wars stop?
Whether natural or man-made disaster, it’s on us
To take action, pick our fallen brethren up
We’re all in this together, united we stand
Divided we fall, so help your fellow man
